My son got the chicken Marsala. His wife, our daughter in law, had a big salad. My wife has spicy pasta with chicken on top The grandkids all got pizzas. The waitress was very helpful in helping my grandkids with the type of pizza that the kids wanted. For my birthday treat, the waitress brought out an Italian dessert with an extra dollup of frosting at each end with a birthday candle lit and stuck in the one dollup of extra frosting. That was a nice and unexpected gesture from this restaurant. New Year’s Eve dinners are tough to pull off but Lago crushed it. The atmosphere was perfect: upscale but relaxed, energetic without feeling rushed. The food was outstanding across the board, beautifully presented, perfectly paced, and packed with flavor. Nothing felt like a “holiday compromise”; it was just great food. Service was seamless and genuinely warm, which is rare on a night this busy. The manager Matt made sure everything was perfect and couldn't have done anything more. By the end, it felt less like dinner and more like a full experience. Lago set the standard for how New Year’s Eve should be done. Our party was seated in a semiprivate area to accommodate the size of our party. Sam was our server. She was the BEST!! She was attentive, friendly, helpful with questions about the menu and over all professional. Josh was our bartender. Again, he was AMAZING!! He is very talented at his craft, giving many great suggestions throughout the evening for different and interesting drink choices to accompany our dinner. We started the evening with a champagne toast !!! Our dinner was delicious! I enjoyed the meatballs as my appetizer ( to die for!) and chicken Alfredo for my entree. We finished up with canolas with sparklers in them to end our celebration!!!! The entire meal was delicious and had great presentation. Our entire experience at Lagos from start to finish was completely enjoyable. I would recommend Lagos for a great dining experience for a date night or a family celebration!!!!! I really love this place and I would come here more if I could, with that said, Lago has one of the best atmospheres of any bar in Cleveland and really many other cities I’ve been to. There are always beautiful women here EVERY time I’ve gone and if that doesn’t make it good enough, the interior is gorgeous, the food is good and good for the price, their bar staff is top notch, well trained, very attentive and guess what! They make excellent drinks too. I’ve been to many a lavish bar where the bar staff does not know how to make a decent drink/cocktail/mixed drink whatever.
